HOUSE RULES
Applicable to all indoor & outdoor (festival) events
Welcome to Get Funky!
To ensure a safe, enjoyable and respectful environment for all visitors, Get Funky has established the house rules below.
By entering the event grounds, you automatically agree to these terms.
Thank you for helping to maintain a secure event.
1. GENERAL CONDUCT
• All standard social norms, public order laws and Dutch legislation apply at our events.
• Instructions from event staff, security, emergency personnel or any authorised representative must always be followed.
• Visitors must present valid identification upon request.
• Bag checks, body searches and safety inspections may be carried out at the entrance or inside the venue. Refusal will result in denial of entry.
• You may be refused entry if wearing clothing associated with intimidation, groups, violence, sports clubs, or items that obscure the face (such as balaclavas or full caps).
• Excessively flashy accessories, large chains, fanny packs, oversized bags, or items larger than A4 size (and thicker than 10 cm) are not permitted.
• It is prohibited to bring your own food, drinks, liquids, sprays, perfume bottles, stickers, confetti, writing materials, or any item judged unsafe. These items may be taken and disposed of.
• Chewing gum, lollipops or similar products are not allowed inside.
• Smoking is only permitted in designated areas.
• Pets are not permitted for safety and welfare reasons.
• Visitors are expected to behave respectfully and responsibly. Aggression, discrimination, harassment (including sexual harassment), intimidation, vandalism, public urination, or throwing objects will not be tolerated.
• Keep noise levels down and respect local residents when entering or leaving the event. Avoid littering and only park in designated areas.
• Emergency exits, pathways and fire safety equipment must remain unobstructed at all times.
• Distributing promotional materials or selling products without written approval from Get Funky is forbidden.
• Violation of these rules may lead to an immediate (local) ban for a period determined by the organisation.
• For night events, re-entry may close after 02:00. For festival events, opening hours may vary — check event-specific information.
• All Get Funky events are strictly 18+.
2. DRUGS, WEAPONS & PROHIBITED ITEMS
• Guests who appear heavily intoxicated or under the influence of drugs may be denied entry without compensation for tickets or travel costs.
• All hard drugs, illegal substances and drug paraphernalia are strictly prohibited.
• If up to 5 grams of soft drugs are found, you may be required to voluntarily surrender them. Refusal, or possession of more than 5 grams, will result in transfer to the police.
• Use, possession or dealing of soft/hard drugs or other illegal substances will lead to removal and involvement of law enforcement.
• Weapons or items that can be used as weapons are strictly forbidden. Any such findings will be handed over to the police.
• Criminal behaviour of any kind will result in immediate arrest and police involvement.
3. RECORDING DEVICES & PRIVACY
• Professional photo, video or audio equipment is only allowed with an official media pass.
• Visitors consent to being photographed or filmed during the event for promotional or security purposes.
• Venues and festival grounds may use 24/7 surveillance cameras. In the case of incidents, recordings may be shared with authorities.
4. LIABILITY
• Attendance at Get Funky events is entirely at your own risk.
• The organisation is not liable for injury, loss, theft, or damage of any kind.
• Sound levels may exceed 85 dB(A). We encourage the use of hearing protection.
• The organisation cannot be held responsible for any health issues resulting from sound, lighting or environmental conditions at the festival.
5. MEDICATION & HEALTH
• Necessary medication must be accompanied by an official medical declaration.
• If required, security may inspect medication or request that it be stored at the first aid station.
6. TICKETS
• Tickets suspected of being purchased for resale may be cancelled and refunded by the organisation.
• Tickets are non-refundable unless the event is officially cancelled.
• If an event is cancelled due to government restrictions (e.g., health emergencies), tickets may be refunded excluding service fees.
• Leaving the event grounds may void re-entry unless specifically stated.
7. ADDITIONAL FESTIVAL RULES
(Added to match festival-level production & safety standards)
• Drones, fireworks, flares, smoke bombs, laser pointers or pyrotechnics brought by visitors are strictly forbidden.
• Large flags, poles, inflatable items, stools, umbrellas, chairs or any obstructive items are not allowed.
• Professional audio transmitters, walkie-talkies or wireless gear may not be used unless authorised.
• Open fires, barbecues, generators or other powered devices are not permitted.
• For outdoor events: weather conditions may cause changes in stage schedules. Follow announcements at all times.
